Things that make my heart flutter

I must apologise for missing this feature last month, but I shall excuse myself by saying that's brand new and so easily forgotten! I remembered it around the 25th November by the time of which it was more logical to just miss it that month and wait until December instead, otherwise I worried I may have no favourite things this month!

.:: Gingerbread Men ::.

As the nights draw in earlier and the air gets cooler, there is nothing warmer and more heart-warming than the flavour of ginger, and of course the best way to eat ginger is by the way of gingerbread men! I made these ones here and I'm rather proud of how they came out. Not bad for a first ever attempt, eh?

.:: The night sky ::.

When I lived in the city the night sky wasn't much to look at, just a flat dark blue shade up above. But now I've moved back home in the countryside I'm really delighting in how clear the night sky is and seeing all the stars and the beautiful moon. I love being able to see what phase the moon is in just by looking at it in the sky rather than consulting my diary! I can also regularly see Venus from my window completely unaided.

.:: Putumayo ::.

Putumayo has never particularly appealed to me before, I own one JSK and pair of socks I bought whilst in Japan and that is all I've ever felt the urge to own from the brand. Until now. I don't know if my personal tastes have changed in the way in dress, but lately I just want to cloak my body in nothing but that particular brand, it appeals to me so strongly. I'm currently saving up hard so that I can have a big splurge with them at some point!

.:: Candles ::.

Especially the scented variety. Similar to the reason I love ginger, candles are just so warming on these cold dark nights.

.:: Costa Coffee ::.

I've never been particularly fond of coffee shops, I generally dislike filtered coffee and their tea is abysmal. However when out last month a sign in Costa's window caught my eye (the power of advertising reels in another!). For the current festive season Costa are selling Salted Caramel Lattes and oh my! It is quite possibly the most delicious hot beverage I have ever tasted and I am 100% addicted! In fact this drink goes wonderfully paired with a gingerbread man!
